Feeding questions
Mash or pellets? Same nutrition: Barastoc's Top Layer mash and Champion Layer pellet are both 16.5 percent protein and 4 percent calcium. Mash suits mixed-age flocks, older birds and mixing supplements; pellets waste less and stop selective eating.
How much per hen per day? Barastoc's expected adult intake for a complete layer feed is 120 to 130 g per bird per day, fed without restriction, with clean water always available. A 20 kg bag is roughly 160 hen-days.
